Ejecting your driver card from your phone
At the end of your shift the card has to come out, with the right country with it. On the tachograph that is another series of steps through the menu. In VYS Mobile Tacho it is one button, and you say right away what you are going to do next.
Where the button is
Go to the Working time record page in the app and eject your card there. On the same screen you pick straight away what you are going to do: rest, other work or availability. From that moment the app counts your time, so you do not have to reconstruct anything at the end.

Why the country belongs with it
The country that goes along when the card is ejected is kept by the tachograph as the country where your working period ended. It comes back at your next manual entry. If that goes wrong, you are missing a detail the law does ask of you.
Hands-free from card in to card out
With a VDO tachograph you do not have to touch the device any more. The app does the manual entry, records your working time and ejects the card. All you do yourself is push the card in.
For VDO only
Manual entry and ejecting from a distance only work with a VDO tachograph with Bluetooth. On a Stoneridge that is not possible, and we would rather say so honestly.
